The name of my Counselling practice, Effortless Action was born out of a principle in Taoism that resonated with me. This principle is known as Wu Wei, meaning, "without effort." Through this effortlessly being, we notice our relationships with ourselves and others and examine that connection without judgement.
In my past, I have found that if I plan to attempt to control my surroundings, I am left frustrated as it is outside my control. If I accept what is to be without undue influence other than coming to each of my experiences with my humanness; that is kindness, understanding and curiosity, then I become surprised in my environment. Not frustrated within it.
I feel this is how I would impart this gift in my practice. To help you find your action towards something new and exciting and in that process you can then create the best version of yourself.
I have a few different frameworks at our disposal to utilize during our practice. Each section has a description of the therapy and how it is utilized within the space. Please scroll through the tabs to find my different frameworks and select one or all that would be useful for you. I am happy to work from my home office in Forest lake or outside in the fresh air.
